Open Question: Why do we hate open-toe shoes and nylons?

I sit here at the library. A middle aged woman enters: she's very elegant, some touches of black and red in her clothing, long black pants. She walks proudly upright, passes by my desk.My eyes fall on something contrasting, almost luminous down below: her extremities, so much detail to see and so much to complement her outfit: Her slingback dark shoes with a proper heel are open up front. Her toes form a pleasant curve, and you can only sort of guess them through a layer of fine textured black shear and ornate layer of nylon. Below shines a little the red of her polish, a toe ring adds to the complexity.So all of a sudden an area on which not to stop almost, stops me and it's so feminine, intimate (stocking feet should be hidden in shoes right?) so rich visually..it's beautiful to me, you can imagine how silky, how soft how scented her feet are.So is that why we oppose it so much, because it can actually be sexually powerful?Or really does the seam and the sense of unfinished, clumsy look of the stocking toes, really bothers you that much? It doesn't to me and I am an otherwise very purist designer.Foot fetish? It's just part of liking everything in a woman. That not the question.10 points for insightful replies.
