Open Question: Why does my mother IN-law like to complain so much?

We moved away 6 months ago,and my mother in-law came for her first Visit,last weekend.It was awful,she complained about everything.We just bought a house last week and were proud and happy about it.The things she was complaining about were so petty,its too cold,she hated my milk,hated the hand soap,the taps were put on backwards,its too quite.Complained that we wouldn't let her smoke in the house.My husband got her a spa treatment that was expensive and she complained about that.How can someone be so mean.She yelled at my d0gs and told me that they stink.Then told me she thought I had a fetish with my d0g,as I was petting him while watching a movie.My daughter has allergies and went went shopping for supper she picked up some processed cheese and I said she cant have that shes allergic to it.Her response was sooo everyone else can have it.I tried to give it back to her when she was leaving but got mad at me,I told her know one would eat it here.Thank goodness she left early,as my hubbie wouldn't let her smoke in the house.She honestly said I cant believe you wont let me smoke.Hellooo the garage is 5 feet away,and we have a huge deck.
