Open Question: Why is Minecraft Slow? HP Pavilion 2v7 NEW LAPTOP?

I just got a new laptop for Christmas. Its an HP Pavilion dv7.I dont know whats wrong I can play other higher quality gamesperfectly and Minecraft always lags even with the lowest possible settings.I downloaded OptiMine and tried making it even lower but still It has more lag thena foot fetish film (lag and leg sound the same and foot fetish shows feet so lots of leg???hope you get it) Anyway do you know whats wrong i tried adding more ram with java. I know somethings wrong with my computer or minecraft idk. If you know whats wrong please help!Thanks in advance
