Open Question: why is foot fetishism considered weird to many yet millions of people have it?

i am sick and tired of all the comments/posts that label me weird when i say things like i find womens feet a turn on or sexy. but anyone with half a mind would have at some point herd the term foot fetish pop up afew times... there are millions of people who have a foot fetish, hell quentin tarontino is open about his. so all these people that say its weird....erm what thoughts crossed your mind when they watched pulp fiction (opening monologue) or kill bill (blatant shots of feet)...? do these "people" not have conversations with other people about the topic of feet or fetish's? Yes I understand that most people consider feet to be completely non-sexual...fair enough...but to dismiss foot fetish's as weird is downright offensive. views/ opinions?
