Open Question: What do tell my friend? This is an VERY awkward situation?

So my friend Alex is a guy. He is straight, but recently told me he has a foot fetish for guys and girls. I told him that I was cool with it and he shouldn't be ashamed of it. But last night when we were hanging out, he was like trying to touch my socks and stuff (while they were still on my feet) and stuff. I just pulled them away. We didn't say anything about it. I don't want him to touch my feet because it just feels kinda gay to me, but I also don't want to put him down for having a foot fetish. What should I do?By the way: he's like my best friend.
