Open Question: What to do when your lover can't stand your fetish?

I'm a bit shy to ask but.. Oh well! Ok, I'm totally into sneakers: I love how they look, I love how they feel on my feet, I love how they smell. I'm hetero, but when it comes to sneaks, I prefer women's mostly because they're cuter in smaller sizes. Sometimes if I go to a friend's and she leaves her sneaks unwatched, I'll try them on and smell the inside. Ok, you get it. BUT! I have no problem with my fetish, it's just like that. My problem is, I like sneaks to be part of my sexual games in some ways, my partner having me breathe inside my sneaks during sex. But my current bf refuses to even hear about it even if I insisted alot. I'm really unhappy and it somehow makes my sex experience less enjoyable.
