Open Question: To what extent is a foot fetish considered acceptable?

In a singles/dating setting, do you feel it is generally acceptable for a person to be up-front with a date about their desire to involve their partners' feet in their bedroom activities, generally (both as foreplay, and possibly as an end towards sexual gratification, in itself)? Would their date regard it as being any 'freakier' than wanting to involve more 'conventional' body parts (breasts, butt, etc.) as part of their regular sex life? Also, in a mixed-gender group setting, among friends and acquaintances -- where it's expected to be able to talk openly about sex habits, in general -- would it be considered okay to discuss one's foot fetish (as long as it was brought up tactfully and respectfully)?
