Default Trample Pics

Maybe this will work this time.

Nope. Says something about alphnumeric characters and spaces, and it tells me to try again. The photo is a jpg and the file size is only 80 kb. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Oh well.

Default Re: Trample Pics

thx for the diagnostics tread. This forum is not exactly user friendly for image attachments, is it? There seems to be a lot of room for making upload mistakes.

Will try to have a process explanation next to the image upload soon. Or maybe a forum version upgrade if those open source developers ever get up off their butts and fix some of the feature requests.

In the interim, if some folks are having problems with the upload process, you can always link to hosted images. All you have to do is put the image URL between the bb code: [ img ] [ /img ] tags (or by clicking the "Img" button at the top of the mesg editor before and after you cut and paste the image URL into your post).

I've been totally swamped with other website performance issues lately, so I'll try to simplify this image upload process as soon as I can (with better instructions).

... just testing a brief attachment upload here for my own purposes ... :

I did notice that the image upload button disappears when editing the post a few times after an image has already been uploaded. This is a bug that I'll have to pass on to the forum software developers.

UPDATE:
Okay, I've made the upload attachment instructions a little clearer, and fixed a forum bug which will now allow the upload option to show up even if the user's upload accidentally fails. Also removed the requirement for alphanumeric characters.

However, NOTE that each post is limited to one image or file upload per post (per instructions), and after one successful file or image upload in that post, the option to upload again within that post will disappear.
