Default Open Question: Is this idea really that absurd?

It's in this section because people here give me the most crap about it.It's about whether or no people are born gay. I don't think gay people are born that way. Apparently people are incapable of understanding that even though I think people aren't born gay, I do NOT think it's a choice. For example, (and I'm sure I'll get crap about this example for whatever reason) say someone is attracted to Asians. Were they born attracted to Asians? Doubtful. Did they consciously decide "I'm going to find Asian people to be more hot than any other ethnicity"? No. They did not choose to be attracted to Asians, but they weren't born attracted to them. If they were born attracted to Asians, there'd be a gene or something that causes lust upon the site of an Asian. And... no, genetics do not cause specific turn ons or offs. If that was so, how would a family with ten generations of strict heterosexuals randomly get a homosexual in the family?Again, to be born gay would mean there's something in our genes that determines what turns us on or off, which in the case of gay people, causes them to be turned on by the same sex. If that was the case, then there'd be genes that make certain people find Asians hot, and specific genes that make certain people have certain fetishes. If people are born gay, that'd mean people with foot fetishes were born that way, because apparently being attracted to feet is built into some people's genetic makeup. This is not the case. We are not born with certain turn ons . We don't consciously choose them, but it's not something ingrained into our genetic makeup.So. Is this idea that absurd? Also, I've been saying "genes" and "genetic make up". If that's not the correct term, then mentally replace it with the correct word, and you'd get the exact same question. So answer it anyway, even if that's the wrong term.I suspect people will tell me how horribly ignorant I am. You can do so, but could you at least explain why? Preferably in an intelligent manner.@Lagerbaer What in the world? Born gay or not, they should have rights to marry the same sex and be treated equally. When did I say anything related to their rights? No, neither Asian nor gay marriage should be banned.
