Default Open Question: Do I have grounds for legal action?

If I posed for a Photographer who put the photos on the web site.. I worked with him 10-11 times, we became good friends and all of my pictures sold really, really well... he runs/owns a successful Photography business.. well recently I decided to make lifestyle changes. About 80-90 people I knew from my old school found out I posed for his web site and all of a sudden I became harassed and bullied by people insulting me for my choices that seen his site. It's not nudity and nothing sexual, it's more so foot fetish type stuff. So and I had a long talk with a friend and asked him to remove the photos & videos as I didn't want to shoot or be associated with it anymore.. He decides to become a real, real jerk about it.. he goes, "Sure, I understand. I'll think about it. Your pictures make money for me, a lot of money, you are one of the better sellers. I just don't take the pictures down and you walk away. I run a business. Either pay me the full amount of the model fees I paid you, or the pictures stay up. Those are your 2 choices. You signed a model release (contract) so it's my choice whether or not I even want to take them down. I may not want to. If I take your stuff down then it will be as you never shot for me so you WILL have to repay me. You made an adult decision, signed the contracts and not to mention called me 1-2 times a day asking to shoot again. You knew the content was going on the sites and agreed to it. It's not my problem that a bunch of people found out and began spreading it. You are 20 years old. Time to make your own, adult decisions. It's called growing up and doing what you WANT to do. If you listen to other people then you're going to end up regretting a lot of stuff. Good luck and sorry to see you go." Ok.. yeah... so then he tells me my options are: 1. I pay him $1,200 back and he'll take the pictures down... 2. I pay nothing and he doesn't take the pictures down since I signed a release.. 3. He hasn't decided if he even wants to take the photos down.. So my question.. since he's being difficult.. do I have legal action I can take to get these photos down? What can I do? He told me he would take them down just FOR ME if I asked him and now he's going back on his word!!!!!!!!!!!!
