So I read somewhere that a theory for where foot fetishes come from is when a mother doesn't pay attention to her baby and sets him down at her feet a lot...,making him gain some attraction to her feet because that's what he's around?A couple months after I read that, I get a new kitten. Of course my mom and I were working on the walls in my room soon after for a couple weeks. He'd want attention but we'd be messy and working, so he'd rub all over and lay on our feets.... six months later now and she still does it. when he's feeling lovey he makes a B-line to our feet, is always trying to play with them, lay on them and purr all over them.he* still does it
I was mostly kidding calling it a foot fetish but did wonder if he developed a sort of fixation, associating it with affection. That's so cool how cats talk to you more if you talk to them a lot. My oldest cat, 5, was a little more vocal than average from the start so we talked to her all the time... She also loves being sung to... and she's now very talkative. I always ask her questions when I see her eating and she'll stop, respond, then continue
