Open Question: is it weird for someone to have a foot fetish?

ok, this is kinda out there. i am really attracted to this guy who i have been talking to for awhile online, he has great personality, sense of humor, works hard, is a fire fighter, he is from my hometown which i am moving back to next summer. i love everything about him so far, the newest thing he mention to me is that he has a foot fetish, he likes the bottom of the feet and he likes the smell of them, after wearing socks all day, ok, this kinda weired me out so now i'm puzzled. i know it could be worse but i've never heard of this before, anybody else have foot fetish or know someone who does, should i be concerned (lol) ...
