Open Question: How do shoe sizes between guys and girls work in this situation?

I honestly can't trust the shoe size converter anymore in the US. I'm from Argentina, although I have lived in the states for half my life and I can say that I don't believe in the US shoe size conversion between the men and woman. I will tell you my story.One day me and my close friend Alissa went to the local high school to attend our classes. Me and her sit right next to each other and I have known her almost all my life. Getting to the point, I felt a rock in my shoe and I decided to take it off to check what was inside. As I do so, my friend Alissa was wearing flats and decides to slip them off as I took off my shoe.While I was busy poking my hand in my shoe to find that pesky rock, Alissa taps me on the shoulder and tells me to look down only to see my socked foot next to hers, they were side by side. I guess she put hers next to mine, and guess what? They were basically the same in size. Length and Width. I asked her what her shoe size was and she said an 8 in Woman. I was confused for a minute. I wear a size 10 1/2 in men. How on earth would we be the same size?That's my question, but i had another if someone was willing to clear it up. During the rest of the class she kept kicking me with her bare feet and managed to get my shoe off my foot somehow and then pulled my socks off with her toes, I was pretty astonished by this, I laughed at her for having impressive toe work. She then began playing footsie with me. Since she knew i was going to play along she moved from the side of me to across from me.We went sole to sole this time under the table. This class was very small, only around 12 people and the teacher, and no one else was sitting at our table so we just had fun. As we played i again noticed we were the exact same size, I was a bit irritated and she began to call me littlefoot. I replied with Bigfoot to her as a joke, but now its our nicknames, which is very funny.Anyways, I really went side tracked, as we played I looked down and saw her feet and noticed, she had REALLY long toes, noticeably longer than mine. She curled them over mine and laughed. Do Woman tend to have longer toes than men? Mine are about 2 1/2 inches but hers were possibly a whole half inch longer. To clarify, yes I have a foot fetish and would like to have answers to this, and yes, I did have fun. =] But I am bugged by the fact that she is as big as me yet she is an 8 in woman and that she has longer toes than me, I would love an answer if someone could give it to me please.
