Open Question: Why do so many people get grossed out by foot play?

As in foot fetishes like licking the sole of the foot and sucking on toes and what not? People who aren't into it always go "Ewww gross!" as if we do it right after a hard day with dirty sweaty feet? I mean I guess some people may be into sweaty feet, that is kinda gross, but for me personally, I dont suck my girlfriends toes unless she is fresh out of the sh0wer and they are clean. Whats so gross about that? Anyone else here like foot play?
