Open Question: Has women's foot-wear changed much since the 1990's ?

i have to admit, nothing says 'f#@k me big boy' better than a pair of sexy slingbacks, i call such kind of footwear 'f**k me shoes'. I dig women who wear open toed strapless slingbacks/heels - thats some sexy footwear right there heh. no , no shoe fetish here - just appreciate sexy footwear and women who aren't shy to express their femininity that way. however...onto a more serious note, how HEALTHY for your feet is todays 'sexy footwear' ladies ? I sometimes 'cringe' when I watch women 'trying' walk in a straight line wearing high heels, like its a tiny tiny little focal point on the shoe which is making contact with the ground and supporting the heel/ball of your foot. I sometimes feel like asking a girl politely if I can take them off and give her feet a well deserved foot massage, if she'd let me I'd even carry her to a taxi (paid for courtesy of myself). What are the health implications of wearing shoes like the aforementioned daily ? Can it cause problems for the foot ? could it eventualy malign joints, bones etc ? How much £££ goes into the shoe design industry ? how much (percentage wise) is spent on 'health' side of this aspect and not just the fashion side of it ?
