Open Question: give up or keep trying?

we're not going out but we act like boyfriend and girlfriend. we're making progress and becoming stronger but i feel as if im doing all the work, we arrange to meet he cancels 90% of the chance.we've been seeing each other for 6 months and we haven't had sex yet - only oral. we've met eachothers family and become rather "deep". hes told me things that no one else know like his "erection problem" and his foot fetish and ive told him alot of things from when i was a little girl. i trust him 100 % but i dont know whether i should say somthing to him or just try and move on even though i like him too much but if we're not going out now maybe he wont ask me out in the next 6 months and just stay like this. what would you do?
